Carol Sanders

Pre-Kindergarten 3

Growing up, Carol Sanders always loved playing school with her friends and cousins. This love for teaching and motivating children to read and write, discover math and science, and marvel at God’s creation, inspired her to pursue a degree in
Elementary Education. She considers teaching an honor to serve her Lord and share His love, forgiveness, and Word with children and parents. Carol and her husband Harry are both members of St. Paul’s and have two grown children: Scott, (his wife Denise and their two granddaughters Ellen Marie & Cadia) and their daughter Kristen, who all bring her much love and joy. Their family farm is home to Shetland ponies, a Yorkshire terrier, and many beautiful deer. Carol’s special interests are wildlife, gardening, training and caring for her ponies, establishing bluebird trails, reading, and has organized many fundraisers for the historic Village of Jerusalem, including the Country Christmas House Tours. The Sanders family started The Friends of Jerusalem Mill, a non-profit organization, in 1985.

Carol holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Elementary Education from
Towson State University. She is currently certified by the State of Maryland and holds an Advanced Certificate for Grades K-8.  She attended the M.Ed. program at The Johns Hopkins University. She has also taught 4th and 5th grades in Baltimore City, Baltimore County, and Kindergarten for 37 years at St. Paul’s. Currently, she loves teaching the Pre-K3 children to learn and explore God’s wonderful world.  She has also taught Pre-K and Kindergarten Sunday School.
