Service is an integral part of the Christian Education. St Paul’s participates in a school wide day of service in the Fall. Middle School students have additional opportunities to understand the meaning of service through a variety of outreach programs, such as painting and helping sort clothing for the Lutheran Mission Society.
Students attend weekly chapel service during the school year and work in collaboration with the church to support Christian missions around the world. In the past, St. Paul’s has worked to support programs such as: Hefer Project [supplying animals to families in countries in need], Operation Christmas Child, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, making bags with a variety of necessities to distribute to the homeless and Rosa de Amor, and the Guatemala Orphanage the church supports.
Service within the school is the buddy program which links older students with younger students. Together they participate in activities to strengthen the sense of community.
